      A 36-year-old resident of Kirov contacted the police after becoming a victim of online scammers.

      The man said that he found a good offer to buy a boat motor on a classified ads site. After a short exchange with the "seller" he transferred 60,000 rubles to the account provided. However, after receiving the money the correspondent stopped responding, and the promised item was never delivered. Realizing he had been cheated, the Kirov resident went to the police.
 
      The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kirov Region reminded: before buying online you should check sellers, not transfer money to strangers, and use only secure payment methods.
