In Kirov, a young man stole a car while the owner was taking out the trash.

In Raduzhny, a local resident’s VAZ-2114 parked by her house on Shkolny Lane was stolen. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov Region.

In the morning the woman went out, unlocked the car, inserted the key into the ignition and went to take out the trash. When she returned, the keys were gone. The woman from Kirov decided she must have left them in the apartment and went back inside. When she came back, the car had disappeared.

Soon traffic police officers stopped the stolen vehicle. Behind the wheel was a drunken 20-year-old local resident. He had previously been criminally prosecuted for a similar offense.

Police established that the perpetrator had been near the house and noticed the woman’s actions. When she stepped away, he took the keys and then took advantage of the moment to steal the car.

A criminal case was opened against the young man again. In addition, police drew up administrative reports for traffic violations.

Students of Vyatka State University proudly represented the university in a number of categories, ultimately taking several first places.

The winner in the "Volunteer of the Year" category was Alyona Kostina, a fourth-year student in the "Advertising and Public Relations" program of the Faculty of Philology and Media Communications. Dasha commented:
"We prepared seriously for this competition, spent a long time planning our performances and rehearsed a great deal. The second challenge — coming up with a media project for the Ministry of Youth Policy — was particularly difficult for us. While working on it, the team and I were constantly on calls, discussing it even at night, because at other times everyone had their own commitments: work and studies. And we really wanted to win! In the end everything went well — we were even advised to submit this idea for a grant."

Celebrating the victory, Dasha emphasized that it is due not only to the students who participated in the competition but to the entire media center team.

"This victory belongs to every member of 'Zdes Media', because it is they who made the media center what it is: strong, vibrant and active," she added, adding:
"I am the head of the media center and I see how everyone is being creative, developing and becoming professionals. And all this happens in a friendly, fun, joyful atmosphere. So I'm doing everything right, aren't I?"
