Enrollment procedures for foreign children in Russian schools have been simplified.
They will now take the exam only in oral form, which should make the process more accessible and less stressful.
The changes will affect three categories of foreigners:
participants and family members of participants in the State Program for the Resettlement of Compatriots;
foreigners who arrived in Russia under Decree No. 702 and who share traditional spiritual and moral values, as well as their family members;
family members of foreign diplomats and employees of international organizations working in Russia.
In addition, the new provision allows retaking the test without waiting for the three-month period that previously applied.
The order was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The Migration Service of the Russian Interior Ministry reported that an order from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has come into force, simplifying the testing procedure for certain categories of foreign children when enrolling in schools.
