The Moscow City Court reduced Yelena Blinovskaya's sentence.

According to the court ruling, the final term of punishment amounted to four years and six months of imprisonment, RIA Novosti reports. Earlier Blinovskaya had been sentenced to five years in a general-regime penal colony. The court also denied a request to postpone the execution of the sentence until 2034 — until the blogger's younger daughter turns 14.

Lawyer Natalya Salnikova noted that Blinovskaya now has the right to file a petition for parole.

The blogger was detained in April 2023. At first she was under house arrest, but later, due to violations of its conditions, she was sent to a pretrial detention center. In March 2025 the court declared her bankrupt and sentenced her to five years in a penal colony, a fine of one million rubles, and a ban on engaging in commercial activities for four years.

Blinovskaya was found guilty of money laundering and illegal circulation of funds, and is also required to reimburse the state 587 million rubles. She was exempted from punishment for failure to pay taxes due to the statute of limitations.
