After the BMW crash in Nagorsk, the prosecutor's office filed a recommendation with the head of the local police department.
The Nagorsk District Prosecutor’s Office identified deficiencies in the work of preventive system bodies following the traffic accident that occurred on July 27, 2025, on Sovetskaya Street in Nagorsk. According to the supervisory authority, the 21‑year‑old driver of a BMW 250 chose an inappropriate speed, lost control and ran off the road. Two passengers were injured as a result of the crash. After photographs and information about the incident were published, the accident caused public outcry. During the investigation, the prosecutor’s office established that the driver had previously been subjected to administrative penalties at least nine times for traffic violations. Despite this, officers of the territorial police bodies did not carry out preventive work with him, even though such work is intended to prevent similar violations and reduce accident rates. For the inaction of the responsible officials, the Nagorsk District prosecutor submitted a representation to the head of the Slobodskoy Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Kirov Region Prosecutor’s Office noted that work to coordinate the activities of preventive system bodies aimed at reducing the level of road accidents in the region will continue.
