Maximum sick-leave payments will increase to 238,000 rubles.

      Such figures are given in the draft budget of the Social Fund of Russia, Gazeta.ru reports. According to the document, in 2026, with an average duration of illness of 11 days, the maximum temporary disability benefit will amount to about 75,000 rubles — 20% more than in 2025.

      The draft also provides for payments to parents caring for sick children under eight years old. About 4.2 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes in 2026.

      Earlier, Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma committee on labor, social policy and veterans’ affairs, noted that from 2026 payments for caring for a child will not be able to be less than 27,000 rubles per month. In addition, the government-planned increase in the minimum wage (MROT) of more than 20% from 2026 will lead to increases not only in sick pay but also in vacation and maternity payments.
