High wages aren't saving the situation: Kirov Oblast is experiencing a shortage of workers and production personnel.

      The Kirov region is in acute need of workers and production specialists. According to hh.ru, in August 2025 about 3.7 thousand vacancies were opened in these fields — more than half of the total number of job offers on the region's labor market (7.2 thousand). Thus, every second vacancy in the Kirov region is related to worker and production professions.

      Demand from employers is accompanied by a shortage of personnel. In the "Working Personnel" sector the platform index in August was 3.3, and in the "Production, service maintenance" segment — 2.7. This means that there are only 2–3 resumes per vacancy, which indicates a lack of specialists.

      At the same time, pay levels in these areas are growing faster than the market average. Across the Kirov region labor market year-on-year (August 2025 vs. August 2024) the median offered salary increased by 20% — from 50,000 to 60,000 rubles. In manufacturing professions the increase was +29% (from 61,000 to 78,700 rubles), and in the "Working Personnel" segment — +26% (from 66,500 to 84,100 rubles).

      A similar situation is observed at the federal level. Currently in Russia there are over 100,000 vacancies in the "Working Personnel" sector and more than 56,000 in "Manufacturing." The reported incomes for these offers are three times the country's average salary, which underscores companies' readiness to attract employees on competitive terms.

      Recruiter analysts also compiled a ranking of the highest-paying vacancies for workers. The income of some specialists already exceeds that of top managers (the average offered salary at that level is around 100,000 rubles):

      RD welder in the Kirov region — from 264,000 rubles per month;

      CNC machine setter — from 220,000 rubles;

      Tractor driver-operator — from 210,000 to 260,000 rubles;

      Delivery driver using their own truck — from 207,000 to 479,600 rubles (before taxes);

      Long-haul truck driver, category E — from 200,000 to 300,000 rubles (before taxes).
