In the Nolinsky District, a man illegally cut down trees to make money.

      From June to November 2022, a 45-year-old man illegally cut down forest on the territory of the Nolinsky District forest fund. He did this in order to later sell the felled timber and obtain money.

      The Kirov Region prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in the criminal case against the local resident. He is charged under Part 3 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal felling of forest stands on an especially large scale). During the preliminary investigation the material damage caused to the forest fund was reimbursed. It amounted to 538 thousand rubles. The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
