They will start to clean up Kirov en masse.
The first community clean-up days are scheduled for September 5 and 6 in Kochurovsky Park, the Square of Labor Glory, the Alley of Honor, the embankments along Grina and Trenera Pushkareva streets, and the park at Theatre Square. Tree planting is also planned during the clean-up days.
The month-long beautification campaign began on August 18 as part of preparations for City Day. Territorial administrations and contractors were tasked first and foremost with cleaning the central part of the city, where historical routes, public spaces and venues hosting festive events are located.
Deputy head of the city Dmitry Pechenkin added that road services should instruct all contractors to focus on tidying the streets: they are restoring lawns and clearing overgrowth. Such work needs to be carried out on the slopes of the embankment, on the section from the Eternal Flame to the rotundas, in the Zasor Ravine, on the lower embankment and other areas where residents of Kirov and city guests often gather.
In addition, work to paint over inscriptions on the facades of houses located on the boundaries of the red lines will be intensified. Contracting organizations were advised to increase the pace of improving public spaces under federal and municipal programs in order to complete the facilities scheduled to open by September 22.
The territorial administrations have already identified priority areas where the main beautification efforts will be concentrated, including taking into account citizens’ appeals.
The Kirov administration clarified that city-wide clean-ups will involve city organizations and institutions, public associations, political parties, property owners and tenants, students of educational institutions, as well as residents of apartment buildings.
