"Monolit" promises to complete the school on Stroiteley Street in September, and the one in Dolgushino in the summer of 2026.
As of today, six schools are under construction in the Kirov region, Ministry of Construction representatives said.
On Torfyanaya Street in Kirov, workers have completed the building shell. They are now installing windows and electrical, heating and water supply systems. Finishing work is also underway on the sports complex and the site is being landscaped. The contractor Delta‑Stroy has increased the number of workers on site. Going forward it plans to carry out façade work and interior finishing. The school is due to be completed in 2026.
As previously reported, new contractors — Rost and Grazhdanremstroy — will build the schools in Kotel’nich and Nolinsk. In Kotel’nich, surveys, design and preparatory work are planned for this year. The contractor has also purchased a modular concrete plant that will supply the site with concrete. In Nolinsk, preparatory work is underway and part of an unsafe slab is being dismantled. The project is being developed at the same time. During the autumn–winter period workers will begin assembling the building frame. Note that the completion dates for the schools in Kotel’nich and Nolinsk have also been postponed to 2026.
Monolit is building three more schools — in Kirov on Stroiteley Avenue, on Vorovskogo Street and in Dolgushino. Deadlines for each have been postponed twice.
The school on Stroiteley Avenue was to be handed over in summer, but Monolit reported that it was let down by a subcontractor — an individual entrepreneur who carried out the electrotechnical work. As a result, students of the physics and mathematics lyceum will have to study in the old buildings for the entire first quarter. The contractor promises to complete this school by the end of September, after which it will switch to the site in Zubarevsky Forest, where 22 people are currently working.
As for the school in Dolgushino, no work is currently being carried out there. Monolit promises to resume work by the end of this year and finish the school in summer 2026. The Ministry added that the contractor is regularly fined for missing school construction deadlines.
