In his address he noted that September 1 is an important day both for first-graders beginning their journey into the world of knowledge and for graduates who must decide on their future profession.
“For everyone this day marks the start of a new stage. For first-graders a great journey into the exciting world of learning begins, while for graduates it is the home stretch, when they must prepare for exams and choose the path that will determine their future. Students of technical schools, colleges and universities will also return to classrooms to master the basics of their chosen professions. I am confident that for all of you the coming school year will be a time of growth, new opportunities and bright achievements,” the governor said.
The regional head also reported that in time for Knowledge Day four new schools opened in Kirov, and another eight educational institutions in various districts of the region received students after major renovations.
