No cash — no cutlet: schoolchildren in Kirov are advised to bring cash for lunch.
In Kirov, parents of schoolchildren are being asked to give their children cash to pay for meals during the first days of the school year. As Denis Sitnikov, director of the Food and Social Catering Combine, said, disruptions to mobile internet service could cause problems with cashless payments. According to him, most school canteens are already connected to wired networks, but it is recommended to have cash on hand for reliability. All dining halls are ready to receive children: supplies have been purchased, and equipment has been repaired and checked. The main problem is a shortage of staff, for which all available resources have been mobilized. In addition, a pay raise for employees is being discussed. "If necessary, the combine's administrative staff are ready to come to the aid of the personnel," Denis Sitnikov noted.
