Patients from Kirov and Kiknur were assisted in obtaining subsidized medications.
Over the past month and a half, most of the complaints concerned the absence in pharmacies of Forsiga and its analogues, which are prescribed to patients with diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Thus, a Kirov resident, Grigory, who had suffered a stroke, could not obtain the drug under the federal benefit at the pharmacy outlet of the Northern Hospital. In Kiknur, a patient with heart failure also could not obtain a prescription that had been written back in June.
As the People's Front found, the shortages were caused by supply problems. The drug only began arriving in pharmacies on August 20, and in the near future all beneficiaries, including residents of the region's districts, should receive it.
In addition, a man from Kirov with a head injury could not obtain amitriptyline — the hospital refused to issue a prescription because the drug was not in stock. After the People's Front appealed to the Ministry of Health, the man, who is a Group III disabled person, was provided with the medication.
