Residents of Kirov collected over 700 signatures to preserve route No. 84.

Residents of three villages within the city limits—Bogorodskaya, Bolshaya Subbotikha, and Malaya Subbotikha—told community activists that starting next year, the final stop of route №84 will change. Currently, the route runs from these villages to the Hippodrome; however, there is a possibility that the route will be looped. If that happens, the route will be: Malaya Subbotikha — Profsouznaya — Karla Marksa — Vorovskogo — Lenina — Malaya Subbotikha, with transfers available to the Yugo-Zapadny district. As a result, residents will lose the only direct route to the Yugo-Zapadny district and will be forced to make transfers.

People explained that Malaya Subbotikha has a school and a livestock farm, which are visited by Kirov residents. Not all locals work near their homes, and some are not registered in the villages at all and travel to the city center for medical care. Parents also take their children to additional classes not available in their settlements. Gardeners also actively use this route.

As a result, residents managed to gather more than 700 signatures on their own. They also reached out for help to the Kirov branch of the All-Russian People's Front.

According to community activists, the administration currently claims that no decision has been made to reduce route №84, and that when new municipal contracts are signed, the preferences of Kirov residents will be taken into account. However, it is unclear how these preferences will be collected or what the deadlines are.

Activists are conducting a poll regarding the preservation of route №84, where residents can leave their opinions. The results will be sent to the Kirov administration.
