Almost 4 million rubles will be spent on the replacement of address plates in Kirov
In Kirov, they plan to replace the old address plates on buildings: almost 4 million rubles will be allocated from the city budget, namely, 3 million 977 thousand 32 rubles. This issue was discussed at a meeting of the City Duma budget committee.
As the speaker explained, the plates are being updated as part of the municipal urban management development program. In total, it is planned to replace 1,146 address indexes on federal, regional, municipal property, as well as on private houses and apartment buildings. The new plaques will be made in the same style to bring the appearance of the city in order. The head of the city, Elena Kovaleva, added that everything was agreed with the prosecutor's office: there is information on how the sign should look, sizes and colors are attached. As for the rest of the streets, the prosecutor's office has so far agreed to change the signs only to those that have been renamed. "I think we will continue to strive to ensure that the signs are uniform throughout the city," the mayor stressed.
At the same time, one of the deputies drew attention to the need to use high—quality and durable materials so that the plates would not fade or break after a couple of years. And another deputy was completely outraged that the residents of the city were being misled, because initially it was said that the costs, if any, would be insignificant. As an example, he cited the proposal to work together with management companies. According to the deputy, if the Criminal Code is charged with attaching signs, money will still be collected from apartment owners. In addition, the deputy noted that he had talked with notaries, and when changing the street name, in order to, for example, apply for a mortgage, additional documents will be required, and this is an extra expense.
To this, Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, the head of the Kirov City Hall, and Elena Kovaleva, the mayor of the city, reminded that there is a separate memo stating that it is important to know about street renaming, which documents will need to be changed, and which ones will not. In addition, Kovaleva said that she had participated in several meetings to which all federal structures were invited. Based on this, the memo was formed. "The information there was taken directly from these structures, including notary offices," the mayor assured.
Kovaleva also said that the costs would not be passed on to the public. The budget takes care of this, regardless of the property. She added that it is planned in the future. However, the issue was submitted to the City Duma for consideration, and it was also advised to finalize and provide a more detailed report.
Recall that at the end of last year, the Kirov renaming was "highlighted" on the federal channel: State Duma deputies criticized this decision. Read the details here.
