The schoolgirl wanted to get in—game currency - her mother lost 130 thousand rubles.
A 37-year-old Kirov resident contacted the police, and 131 thousand rubles were stolen from her bank account. As law enforcement officers have established, the fraudster gained access to the online bank through the victim's minor daughter.
The schoolgirl enjoys an online multiplayer game and is subscribed to thematic channels in the Telegram messenger. The day before, she received a personal message from a stranger who offered to help her receive in-game currency. Following the instructions of the interlocutor, the girl gave her the details of her mother's bank card, as well as the codes from the SMS that came to the phone. After that, the correspondence was deleted.
Upon discovering the loss of money, the woman contacted the police. A criminal case has been opened into the theft. The suspects are now being identified.
The police once again remind you: under no circumstances should you transfer bank card data and SMS codes to unknown people, especially in messengers and social networks. It is important to explain these rules to children in a timely manner.
