The next season of Oleg Valenchuk's road program has started in the Kirov region.

      Spring in the Kirov region is not only an awakening of nature, but also a traditional test for owners of garden plots. The worn-out primer turns into an impassable swamp after winter and spring rains. However, for Vyatka gardeners, this problem has become less acute thanks to the annual road program of Oleg Valenchuk, a deputy of the State Duma and chairman of the Union of Gardeners of Russia.

      On May 28, a grader from the Horticultural Union went to help in a bush of nine farming villages: Rassvet, Rassvet-1, Rassvet-2, Nadezhda, Energetik, Toiler, Driller, Builder-2 and Mashinostroitel. More than 1,400 families are united by one problem and one hope for timely help.

      "It is prohibitively expensive to hire heavy machinery ourselves," says Gennady Zykin, chairman of the Rassvet Agricultural Cooperative. – Therefore, we are immensely grateful to the Union of Gardeners and for their long-term support. The fact that the grader came to us for the very first time this year is a real gift!

      Oleg Valenchuk's program has proved its effectiveness. In the farming co-op, where grading is carried out annually, the road situation has improved significantly. Moreover, successful experience has brought cooperation to a new level. Now horticultural associations purchase crushed stone and coordinate the work in advance with the Union of Gardeners. This allows you to optimize the process and increase its efficiency. The grader arrives on the appointed date, and the crushed stone is evenly distributed along the road, creating a more reliable and durable surface.

      Oleg Valenchuk's initiative is not only a practical help here and now, it is also an incentive for the development of horticultural associations. Today, many gardeners in the Rassvet gardening co-op have at least a third of the plot devoted to flowers. The earth is not only a source of fresh vegetables and fruits for the table, but also a place to relax, communicate with nature, and show your creative abilities. Well–kept houses with painted walls, graceful carvings on roofs and shutters, bright flower beds, small ponds and garden decorations - all this was created with love by own hands.

      – Today, people on their six hundred square meters do not just grow crops, they gather here on weekends, holidays, relax with the whole family, communicate with friends, – says Oleg Valenchuk. – I would like to thank all the gardeners for their hard work, for educating the younger generation in love of their native land, and for their significant contribution to the country's food security. And the Horticultural Union will traditionally provide comprehensive support. This year, during the summer season, we plan to put in order more than 500 km of dirt roads to the farming co-op.
