In the Kirov region, work continues on one of the most long—awaited and significant facilities for residents of the region — the Kirov— Kotlas- Arkhangelsk road. As explained in the Ministry of Transport of the region, the work is necessary in order to improve transport links between Kirov and the north-western regions of the region.
In two years, 2024-2025, the contractor company must build 25 kilometers of highway.: a section of the Vazyuk — Oparino road in the Opara district. Last year, 7 km of highway was built here. There are plans to make another 18 km this year.
As the representative of the contractor company, SU-43 LLC, noted, work is currently underway to correct the profile of the existing crushed stone coating, the installation of a leveling layer of crushed stone, the layout of slopes, and the installation of side stones. "After that, work will be carried out on the drainage system, road signs and barrier fencing will be installed, markings will be applied. We plan to complete all the work by December 2025," SU-43 LLC said.
It should be noted that in the Kirov region in 2025, according to the national project "Infrastructure for Life", 10 road facilities with a total length of 67 km, which are part of the main road network of Russia, will be brought to the standard.
