Preparations for the construction of a sports ground have begun in Gagarin Park
The contractor is currently installing fencing in Gagarin Park. In the near future, construction of a multifunctional sports ground will begin there. The installation is planned to be completed by the end of the week.
Gagarin Park will feature a skate court, a basketball court, and a hockey box that will be used as a soccer field in the summer. In addition, it is planned to install athletics tracks and several modules for locker rooms and an administrative building. There will be a training area and a workout area on the turns.
The preparatory work also includes the demolition of green spaces. As the Kirov administration added, the issue of compensatory plantings in the park is currently being worked out.
The sports ground will belong to the Soyuz Sports School. A special schedule will be provided for the training of pupils, and the rest of the time the playground will be open to residents. The construction of the sports ground is planned to be completed in the fall.
