      The ixodic tick activity season continues in the Kirov region. According to the Rospotrebnadzor Office, 58 people have sought medical help for tick bites over the past week, 15 of them children.

      Experts remind you that with the first warm days and the appearance of thawing, ticks come out of hibernation. They can carry a number of serious diseases, including tick-borne viral encephalitis, borreliosis, anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis.

      Not only forests are dangerous, but also cemeteries, forest park areas, outskirts of settlements and suburban areas. Rospotrebnadzor calls for the use of closed clothing, repellents, and carefully examine yourself after walking to prevent the tick from sucking.

      If a tick is found, it is advisable to remove it in a medical organization. If this is not possible, you must do it yourself, save the tick for analysis and treat the bite site. In case of detection of infectious agents, medical supervision for three weeks and preventive treatment as prescribed by a doctor will be required.
