A giant chandelier is being cleaned at the Philharmonic Hall
Scheduled work is underway to clean the main chandelier in the concert hall of the Vyatka Philharmonic named after P.I. Tchaikovsky. For the convenience of the work, the massive lamp was carefully lowered down from the ceiling.
This chandelier is a real decoration of the hall. It was made by special order more than 60 years ago specifically for the Vyatka Philharmonic. The structure is made of brass and decorated with numerous crystal elements. To illuminate the hall, it has about 70 lamps arranged in three tiers. The weight of this work of art exceeds 700 kilograms.
Within a few days, specialists will thoroughly wash all the details of the chandelier from accumulated dust and dirt. It is planned that by the upcoming weekend, the chandelier, shining with cleanliness, will return to its usual place.
