Kirov resident drank too much and stabbed a drinking companion

      The Investigative Department for the Leninsky district of Kirov of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kirov region has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 36-year-old resident of Kirov, who is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder).

      According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kirov region, the investigation established that on the night of September 8, 2024, the accused and his acquaintance drank alcohol in one of the houses on Consumer Cooperation Street in Kirov. There was an argument between the men while drinking alcohol. The defendant in the criminal case, on the basis of a sudden personal hostility towards a drinking companion, grabbed a knife and stabbed it several times into his opponent's chest. The man died on the spot from his injuries.

      During the investigation, the accused was given a preventive measure in the form of detention, which continues to operate to this day. During the investigation, the accused fully admitted his guilt and repented of what he had done.

      Currently, the criminal case with the indictment has been transferred to the court for consideration on the merits.
