Spring duck hunting with decoy ducks has opened in the Kirov region.

      From April 5, 2025, the spring duck hunting season opens, which will last until May 15. In accordance with the rules, hunting for one decoy duck is allowed for no more than two hunters.

      In order to obtain a permit, hunters can use Public Services, as well as apply personally through the MFC. The state fee for issuing a permit is 650 rubles.

      The Ministry of Nature Protection reminds that strict restrictions apply to spring duck hunting. Prohibited:

      hunting for female ducks and from the approach;

      using dogs other than friendly ones to search for wounded;

      the use of electronic devices that mimic animal sounds;

      being on a transport with a loaded weapon;

      the use of weapons with rifled barrels and equipping weapons with shot or buckshot with a diameter of more than 5 mm

      In addition, hunters were reminded that hunting dates for various bird species may vary depending on the zone:

      in the southern zone, hunting for drakes, geese, ravens and other species is allowed from April 19 to April 28;

      in the northern zone, these dates are shifted from April 26 to May 5.;

      grouse, grouse and woodcock hunting in the southern zone will last from April 24 to May 3, and in the northern zone from May 1 to May 10.

      The Ministry of Nature Protection urges all hunters to observe the rules of hunting and safety when handling weapons.
