Kirov residents are warned about heavy snowfalls and ice: drivers and pedestrians were reminded of safety

      In the coming days, forecasters are predicting difficult weather conditions in the Kirov region — snowfall, rain and temperature fluctuations, at which the thermometer will repeatedly cross the zero mark. This will create dangerous conditions on the roads: visibility will deteriorate, and ice will form on the roadway.

      In this regard, Kirov traffic police urge road users to be especially careful. Drivers are advised to choose the optimal speed mode, which will allow them to control the car even in unpredictable conditions. Special attention should be paid to difficult sections of the road — long turns, ascents, descents, bridges and overpasses. They should be overcome at a minimum speed, without driving too close to other vehicles and keeping a safe distance.

      In addition, the traffic police remind that despite the onset of calendar spring, the transition to summer tires is still premature. The current weather still requires the use of winter tires.

      Pedestrians should also be careful. Cross the roadway only in designated places, making sure that the driver sees and passes the pedestrian. To increase their visibility on the road, experts recommend using retroreflective elements on clothing.

      The traffic Police emphasize that road safety in bad weather conditions depends not only on the technical condition of the car, but also on the discipline and responsibility of each participant in the movement.
