Birth rates and divorces decreased in the region in January
Kirovstat published the general results of the natural movement of the population in January 2025. According to the department, 1,679 people died in the Kirov region during the specified period: 2.5 times more than were born. The natural population decline decreased by 16.3% compared to January 2024.
In January of this year, 664 children were born in the Kirov region: 33 fewer than in January 2024. At that time, the number of births was 697. 1,679 people died: 230 fewer than in January 2024: 1,909 people.
The number of marriages concluded in January 2025 was 341, 10 more than in January 2024 (331 marriages). The number of divorces decreased: 292 in January 2025 versus 411 in January 2024.
