Sports ground to be built in Gagarin Park
According to the Kirov City Hall, work on the construction of a multifunctional site is scheduled to begin on April 10 under favorable weather conditions. The new sports facility will include a basketball court, a hockey box with artificial turf for playing football in the summer, athletics tracks and a training complex. At the request of the residents, the project also included a skate playground for novice athletes.
The Department of Youth Affairs, Physical Education and Sports of the city administration noted that a fence will be installed around the perimeter of the site, but access to it will be open to everyone. After completion of the construction, the facility will be transferred to the balance of the Soyuz Sports School. In addition to the pupils of this school, students of schools located in this neighborhood will be able to study on the site.
As follows from the terms of reference, lighting and video surveillance cameras, as well as modules for locker rooms, will be installed on the territory of the facility. The park territory will be connected to the new site by several paths made of paving stones. The construction of the sports ground is planned to be completed by September this year. The facility is financed from the regional and city budgets.
