The Popular Front has proposed two solutions to protect citizens whose personal accounts have been accessed by fraudsters. One of the ways is to temporarily block the account on Gosuslugi. The account can only be unblocked upon a personal visit to the MFC. The second option is to introduce automatic notification of banks from the portal about the change of several identifiers, which can also eliminate the risk of financial fraud. This is reported by Izvestia.
Evgenia Lazareva, head of the NF "For Borrowers' Rights" project, coordinator of the Mousetrap platform, told the publication that the initiatives in the general package of proposals were prepared for the meeting that took place on March 5 with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and submitted to his administration for inclusion in the draft instructions.
The ministry's press service noted that the Ministry of Finance is discussing measures to combat remote fraud with interested departments and organizations. They are also working on the proposals of the Popular Front. "A number of initiatives under discussion have been included in the draft law on protecting citizens from cybercriminals. It has now been submitted to the State Duma. The details of the document are still being worked out, it can be changed by the second reading," the ministry added.
