A 42-year-old resident of the Nolinsky district was found guilty of non-payment of funds for the maintenance of a minor daughter. He was convicted under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The investigation found that from September to November 2023, the man, knowing about the court decision obliging him to pay alimony for the maintenance of his 16-year-old daughter, deliberately evaded payments without valid reasons. The total amount of alimony arrears exceeded 1.2 million rubles.
Initially, the court sentenced the man to correctional labor. However, after the sentencing, he did not take corrective measures and did not begin serving work, ignoring the instructions of the penal enforcement inspectorate. In this regard, the court replaced correctional labor with two months of imprisonment in a penal colony.
