In Yurye, a repeat thief received a year of "strogach"

      On July 23, a 43-year-old resident of the Yuryansky district drank alcohol with the victim's daughter. When the alcohol ran out, he turned to his roommate's mother and asked her to give him the money, but was refused. Ignoring the ban, the man illegally broke into an apartment building on Gagarin St., Yurya village, where he stole 10 thousand rubles. At the time of the theft, he was holding the woman's hands, thus using violence. He spent the stolen amount to buy alcohol. However, before the court's verdict, the material damage was nevertheless compensated.

      A criminal case has been opened against a man previously convicted of theft. He was convicted under clauses "c" and "d" of Part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery). The court agreed with the prosecutor's opinion, and, taking into account the identity data, as well as the presence of previous convictions, the court sentenced the repeat offender to 1 year of imprisonment in a high-security colony. The defendant, in turn, appealed the verdict to the court of appeal, but his complaint was rejected. The man will be escorted to the colony.
