Blinovskaya will be "closed" for five years

      Yelena Blinovskaya, the "Queen of Marathons," was sentenced to five years in prison. In addition, the blogger was fined 1 million rubles and banned from engaging in commercial activities for five years, according to RBC.

      It should be noted that at the court hearing, which took place on February 27, the state prosecution requested six years in prison for the blogger. Blinovskaya herself asked to postpone the punishment until her children reached the age of 14, but the court did not grant a delay.

      Elena Blinovskaya was accused of tax evasion (Part 2 of Article 198 of the Criminal Code), money laundering (paragraph "b" of part 4 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code) and illegal circulation of funds of payments (part 1 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code). It is known that the court released Blinovskaya from punishment on one of the charges in connection with the expiration of the statute of limitations of the crime (Part 2 of art. 198 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Tax evasion of an individual."), reports Lenta.ru . The court also recovered 587 million rubles from Blinovskaya and converted the blogger's property into state income.

      The investigation found that Blinovskaya was splitting up the business and distributing the income from the sale of her courses and "marathons of desires" to small firms and sole proprietors who worked under the simplified taxation system. All this gave her the opportunity to avoid paying taxes in the amount of 906 million rubles. Blinovskaya later pleaded guilty to tax evasion and money laundering, but stressed that she was not aware of the fragmentation of the business, which caused the tax debt.

      Yelena Blinovskaya was detained in April 2023, when she tried to leave the borders of Russia, heading to Minsk.
